Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
